Chimera Golf Club has been under new ownership for just a few months. In this short time there have been many improvements to the golf course and the Bar and Grill, but Chimera is not just another golf club, Chimera is already setting deep roots in the community of Henderson, Nevada.
Chimera quickly joined the Henderson Chamber of Commerce. They aren’t just a member, but they are now a major sponsor for the organization and are scheduled to host a golf tournament with proceeds benefitting the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Veterans Treatment Court of Henderson – sponsorships are available by contacting Bill Bokelmann at [email protected] or calling 702.209.3967
Chimera also joined the Water Street District Business Association, an organization dedicated to the revitalization of the downtown area of Henderson. The Chimera team has also met with their Henderson neighbor, Cadence Master Planned Community with the goal of mutually working together to make the City of Henderson, the golf club and Cadence better places to work, play and live.
Now Chimera Golf Club has reached out to another favorite local business in Henderson, the Emerald Island Casino. Chimera joined the casino’s Vendor Partner Program for the Player’s Club members. Players Club members who gamble at the casino accumulate reward points that can be “spent” at other local businesses who are Vendor Partners. Now they can use their points at Chimera Golf Club. Gamblers from Emerald Island Casino choosing to use their points at Chimera Golf Club will receive a complimentary round of golf which includes their green fee, cart fee, range balls before their round, and a stocked golf cart. A “stocked golf cart” means tees, towels and bottled water. All participants in the Vendors Partner Program must be at least 21 years of age.
To announce Chimera Golf Club becoming a Vendor Partner at Emerald Island Casino, they had a meet and greet at the casino. Chimera owner Tom Burke brought his team to meet the guests of Emerald Island Casino on a busy Friday night. Welcoming Chimera was Tim Brooks, Co-owner of the casino. Chimera brought with them an array of golf attire and equipment, all with the Chimera logo to put on display.
The event was well received by the guests of the Emerald Island Casino. Many of the guests talked about how they played the course under the previous ownership and are excited to play it again now that it is a Vendor Partner.
Chimera Golf Club is constantly looking for new ways to become more involved in the City of Henderson because they are not just another golf club, they are making a difference in the community.
